Hi, I’m Sandra Bautista and I’m so glad you’re here. The OneUl Zine is my little corner of the internet where curiosity meets real-life experience. Before starting this blog, I spent several years working as an editorial writer for a lifestyle magazine in Vancouver, exploring everything from home décor trends to smart living essentials.

With a degree in Communications and Consumer Studies from the University of British Columbia, I’ve always loved connecting people with things that actually make life easier, not just prettier.

How It All Began

This website once lived as a small lifestyle and design hub, filled with inspiration for modern living. I was part of that early creative circle, writing about comfort, space, and everyday design. Over time, I realised my favorite part wasn’t just describing beautiful products it was testing them, comparing them, and seeing how they held up once the spotlight faded.

In 2025, I gave The Oneul Zine a new purpose: to become an honest, experience-driven product review space. No paid fluff, no marketing spin just real insights from hands-on use. I try everything myself, live with it, and write about it with the same care I’d give advice to a close friend.

Everyday Testing, Real-World Stories

Now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I share my home with my partner and our rescue dog, Moose who doubles as my unofficial product-tester. Between morning coffee spills and weekend cleaning sessions, I’m constantly putting gadgets, tools, and appliances to the test. Whether it’s a compact vacuum, an air fryer that promises “crispy in minutes,” or lighting that changes your mood, I’m here to tell you what’s worth the hype and what’s better left on the shelf.
